Your journey into the heart of Turkey

17/09/2023 by admin Leave a Comment

Nestled at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Turkey is a country that effortlessly blends the charm of its rich history, stunning natural landscapes, and vibrant culture into an unforgettable holiday experience. From the bustling streets of Istanbul to the ancient ruins of Ephesus, and the idyllic beaches along the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts, Turkey offers a diverse range of attractions that cater to every traveler’s preferences. In this article, we’ll explore the magic of Turkey holidays, highlighting some must-visit destinations and experiences to ensure you make the most of your trip.

Istanbul: Where Past and Present Coexist
Your journey into the heart of Turkey often begins in Istanbul, a city that straddles two continents. Istanbul, formerly known as Byzantium and Constantinople, is a city where the past seamlessly intertwines with the present. Here, you can wander through the historic streets of Sultanahmet, where iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace await. These architectural marvels offer a glimpse into Turkey’s rich Byzantine and Ottoman history.

But Istanbul is not just about history; it’s a thriving metropolis with a vibrant cultural scene. Explore the trendy neighborhoods of Beyoğlu and Karaköy, where you’ll find a plethora of art galleries, trendy boutiques, and lively cafes. And don’t forget to indulge in the world-famous Turkish cuisine at local eateries, savoring dishes like kebabs, baklava, and Turkish delight.

Cappadocia: A Surreal Landscape
If you’re seeking a unique and otherworldly experience, Cappadocia should be on your Turkey holiday itinerary. This region, known for its surreal rock formations, cave dwellings, and hot air balloon rides, will transport you to a dreamlike realm. Take a hot air balloon ride at sunrise to witness the breathtaking landscapes from above, or explore the underground cities carved into the soft volcanic rock.

Ephesus: Walking through Ancient History
History enthusiasts will be captivated by the ancient city of Ephesus. This archaeological wonder is home to well-preserved ruins that date back to the Roman period, including the famous Library of Celsus and the impressive Theater. Wander through the streets that once thrived with trade and commerce, and imagine the grandeur of ancient life.

Pamukkale: The Cotton Castle
Pamukkale, often referred to as the “Cotton Castle,” is a natural wonder that seems straight out of a fairy tale. The terraces of Pamukkale are formed by the flow of mineral-rich thermal waters, creating stunning, white travertine terraces. As you soak in the warm, rejuvenating waters and walk along these surreal terraces, you’ll understand why Pamukkale is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must-visit destination in Turkey.

Turkish Riviera: Sun, Sand, and Sea
For those seeking a beach escape, the Turkish Riviera, also known as the “Turquoise Coast,” offers some of the most picturesque coastal regions in the world. From the vibrant city of Antalya to the serene beaches of Oludeniz and the charming village of Kas, you can find a coastal destination that suits your preferences. Relax on pristine beaches, enjoy water sports, and explore ancient Lycian ruins along the way.

Experiencing Turkish Hospitality
One of the most memorable aspects of a Turkey holiday is the warm hospitality of the Turkish people. Whether you’re sipping tea in a local teahouse, bargaining at a bustling bazaar, or staying in a family-run guesthouse, you’ll encounter genuine and friendly interactions that make your trip all the more special.

Practical Tips for Your Turkey Holiday
Visa Requirements: Check the visa requirements for your country before traveling to Turkey. Many nationalities can obtain an e-Visa online.

Currency: The currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira (TRY). It’s a good idea to have some cash on hand, especially for smaller establishments and markets.

Dress Modestly: While Turkey is a diverse and welcoming country, it’s respectful to dress modestly when visiting religious sites and rural areas.

Try Local Cuisine: Don’t miss out on the rich and flavorful Turkish cuisine. Be sure to try traditional dishes like doner kebabs, Turkish delight, and baklava.

Travel Safely: Turkey is generally safe for tourists, but it’s always a good idea to stay informed about local conditions and follow any travel advisories issued by your government.

In conclusion, Turkey holidays offer a mesmerizing blend of history, culture, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. Whether you’re exploring ancient ruins, taking in the panoramic views from a hot air balloon, or lounging on a Mediterranean beach, Turkey promises a diverse and unforgettable vacation experience. So, pack your bags, prepare your taste buds for culinary delights, and embark on a journey to the enchanting land where East meets West. Your Turkey holiday awaits!

Turkey 5th place in the ranking

01/01/2019 by admin Leave a Comment

Turkey

Turks can now look forward to the future with hope; Standard Chartered, an esteemed British financial institution, has announced the countries expected to have the largest economies in 2030.

The company estimates that by 2030, seven of the world’s top 10 economies will be what we call “emerging markets” today and Turkey is expected to rank fifth among those countries.

According to the report shared by the financial institution the Chinese economy will take first place in 2030 followed by India.

Turkey 5th place in the ranking of the largest economies in the world is rising, while the US will fall to third place. When we think about it for a moment it should not probably be much of a surprise for the USA because the “giant” we call China is coming very rapidly and strong and the authorities in the States have been aware of this unavoidable rise by China.

The good part for Turkey, on the other hand, is that despite so many issues it had to cope with in recent years and even decades, this country has been truly struggling to take its place among largest economies in the world and it would be a big prize to be ranking fifth among so many giant economies in the world.

Regarding the report issued, the company noted that while evaluating results gross domestic product figures of concerned countries had been taken into account. According to the report Brazil, Egypt and Russia will rank under Turkey. The report also says Japan and Germany will rank 9th and 10th on the list. Surprisingly countries such as the UK, Italy, France and Canada are not expected to find a place in the top-ten list.
